Asmin Bara production plan on track

New coal miner PT Asmin Bara Bronang (ABB), subsidiary of Indonesia?s largest coal contractor PT Pamapersada Nusantara (PAMA) said that the company is on track to start production by this year-end in line with the completion of ongoing development of hauling road in the area.

A source in the company said that the first production could reach 1 million tons per year with coal CV of between 6,500 kkcal/kg and 6,700 kkcal/kg (ADB) and total moisture of between 10 and 12 kcal/kg.

?We expect the first production could be made in the year-end or early 2013 at the latest,? the source told Petromindo.com, adding that the hauling road would reach 58 kilometers and would connect with the existing of 25 kilometers to Paring Lahung Port. PAMA has two concessions namely Asmin Bara Bronang and PT Asmin Bara Jaan (ABJ) in Central Kalimantan.

ABB is comprised of mining area of 24.980 hectares across two Central Kalimantan regencies of Kapuas and Murung Raya. The concession includes mining blocks Mamput, Bekanon and Merangun.

The ABJ has total concession of 7.298 hectares in Murung Raya regency with three blocks of Hintuk, Miyangun and Bahandang. Both ABB and ABJ are adjacently located within 30 kilometers proximity .
