Astaka Dodol ready to resume production next year

Coal mining company PT Astaka Dodol plans to resume production at its concession in Musi Banyuasin South Sumatra next year and is now concentrating on land acquisition.

"This year, we are focusing on land acquisition while preparing to resume production next year," Director Dwijaya Hadi Surya told Petromindo.com on Friday.

The firm halted operation last year due the weak price of the commodity.

Astakan Dodol has a concession measuring 23700 hectares with the CV of 3000 GAR.

According to Hadi, the company only produced hundreds of thousand tons of coal last year before halting its operation. "Once we have resume production, we target to produce at least one million tons next year," he said.
