South Sumatra coal miner PT Astaka Dodol, which is part of the Uresources Group, plans to resume coal production this year with a production plan of 600,000 tons.

President Director of Uresources, Pulung Perangin-angin told Petromindo.com on Thursday that the 2017 production plan of Astaka Dodol is currently being reviewed by the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

He added that Astaka did not make any production last year.

Astaka, which operates 23,700 hectares coal concession in Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra, halted production in 2013 following the drop in coal price. Its coal has calorific value of 3,000 GAR.
