Astaka to resume production in fourth quarter

South Sumatra coal miner PT Astaka Dodol, which is part of the UResources Group, plans to resume coal production in the fourth quarter of this year with a production target of 300,000 tons as approved by the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal (Minerba) at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.
?We have been given approval by the Minerba for 300,000 tons of production in 2017,? President Director of Uresources, Pulung Perangin-angin told Petromindo.com on Thursday
He said that the contractor has recently started mobilizing mining equipment to the mine site.
Astaka initially planned a production target of 600,000 tons this year. The company, which operates 23,700 hectares coal concession in Musi Banyuasin, South Sumatra, halted production in 2013 following the drop in coal price. Its coal has calorific value of 3,000 GAR.
