Astra Graphia helps PLN to manage asset

State owned electricity company PT Perusahaan Listrk Negara (PLN) has signed an agreement with PT Astra Graphia Technology (AGIT) under which the local information technology (IT) company will help the public utility to implement IT-based Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) program at its power transmission.

The document to kick off the project was signed on Monday by PLN?s Director for Java-Bali-Sumatra operation Ngurah Adnyana and AGIT President Director Michael A.R. Roring, PLN said in a statement.

PLN will implement EAM at three business units, namely PLN?s Distribution and Center of Load Control (P3B) Java-Bali, P3B Sumatra and PLN?s South Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi and West Sulawesi operation.

The implementation of EAM for transmission at the three business units is expected to be completed within 12 months.

The EAM program will use Plant Maintenance (PM) module from SAP and will be integrated with the existing system of PLN.

As a matter of fact, PLN has been implementing EAM for power plants at several business units such as PT Pembangkit Jawa Bali (PJB), PT Indonesia Power; is the phase of implementing it at its power plants in Sumatra and Sulawesi. Besides, it has just implemented EAM for distribution in Bali.
