Astri Mining increasing domestic supply

Coal mining company PT Astri Mining Resources will increase its Domestic Market Obligation (DMO) supply in the second quarter of 2015.

Andi Ananda Manggabarani, Marketing Director of Astri Mining told Petromindo.com on Tuesday that the company will rise its supply for PT PLN Batubara, a subsidiary of state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN), from about four barges per month up to seven to eight barges per month.

?The first shipment to PLN Batubara was conducted in January 2015 with two barges. Last month, we delivered four barges and we expect to increase the delivery to seven or eight barges in this second quarter,? Andi said adding the company has to supply about 45,000 tons per month to PLN Batubara.

He added that the coal is destined to several power plants in Aceh, South Sumatra and West Nusa Tenggara. In addition, the company?s main export destination is still to India. Astri Mining Resources' coal concession is located at Batulicin district, Tanah Bambu regency, South Kalimantan.
