Coal mining company PT Astri Mining Resources has recently resumed export to India after obtaining the registered exporter status from the government in September.
?After obtaining the ET (registered exporter status) we have already shipped four vessels to India with a total of 200,000 tons of coal,? said Andi Ananda Manggabarani, Marketing Director of Astri Mining to Petromindo.com recently.
The company has been forced to suspend export after the government introduced in October of last year a new regulation requiring coal exporters to obtain the registered exporter status to be able to continue export. The miners must meet a number of requirements to be able to get the registered exporter status.
Andi added that currently, Astri Mining produces around 150,000 tons per month from its coal concession in Batu Licin, South Kalimantan province.
