Atlas coal output drops 84.7%

IDX-listed coal mining company PT Atlas Resources Tbk said that coal output in the first quarter of this year dropped by 84.7 percent to 84,057 tons from 155,336 tons in the same period of last year amid the lingering drop in coal price.
Meanwhile, sales volume also fell to 110,656 tons from 155,390 tons in the same quarter of last year.
Atlas operates coal mines in East Kalimantan and South Sumatra. Atlas Director Joko Kus Sulistyoko said Monday that the company aims to produce a total of 1.75 million tons of coal this year.
