Atlas Resources expects initial production this year

Indonesia listed coal producer company, PT Atlas Resources, Tbk expects to commence production from Ratna Utama Karya (RUK)'s concession in Berau Hub, East Kalimantan in the second semester this year.
Dono Boestami, Finance Director and Corporate Secretary Atlas Resoures told Petromindo.com that the company's initial production from Ratna Utama Karya would be about 110,000 tons.
"We are still doing exploration at RUK and hopefully in the second half of this year we will start its production," Dono said.
The company targets to double its coal production in 2012 compared to 2011 production from its four hub mine sites spread out in South Sumatra and East Kalimantan.
The company's production in 2011 was about 1.2 million tons.
