Atlas Resources secures 3 mt coal supply contracts for PLN

IDX-listed coal producer, PT Atlas Resources Tbk has secured contracts to supply more than 3 million tons of coal for state-electricity firm PLN within the next three year.
Under the contract, Atlas Resources would supply coal to five power plants starting this year.
Director and Corporate Secretary Atlas Resources Dono Boestami, told Petromindo.com that the company would supply about 640,000 tons to Tarahan Baru power plant which has a capacity of 2x110 MW.
"The supply has already been running for Tarahan Baru," Dono said.
The other power plants are Teluk Naga power plant (3x315MW) requiring 429,000 tons per annum starting this year, Pelabuhan Ratu power plant (3x350 MW) requiring 429,000 tons per annum in 2013, Pangkalan Susu (2x100 MW) requiring about 1.12 million ton starting in 2014 and Pesisir power plant in West Sumatra which will be supplied 460,000 tons annually starting in 2015.
Dono said that the price for the coal is in accordance with the government's price index.
