ATPK expects to get higher coal price

IDX-listed PT ATPK Resources Tbk expects to be able to obtain higher coal price in 2013, from last year?s average selling price of US$22.75 per ton, for output from its coal unit PT Mega Alam Sejahtera (MAS) in Berau Regency, East Kalimantan, a company official told Petromindo.Com
The calorific value of the coal from MAS mine is 4500-5100 kcal/kg (ADB).
The company is also targeting to sell around 125,000 tons of coal per month this year, up from 70,000 tons per month last year, the source said, adding that installed production capacity from MAS mine is 200,000 tons per month.
At present, the company has an offtake deal with Balikpapan-based coal mining firm PT Bara Jaya Utama (BJU) to sell all the coal at stockpile from MAS mine.
