ATPK Resources eyeing 2.4m ton output this year

IDX-listed coal mining company, PT ATPK Resources Tbk. is eyeing 2.4 million ton output this year from its concession in Berau, East Kalimantan on optimism it will be able to expand its market share in India this year.
President Director ATPK Resources, Tbk. Raymond A. Bernardus told Petromindo.Com on Thursday that the company successfully surpassed the target production in 2014 by producing 2.2 million tons as against the target of 1.8 million tons.
"We are slightly increasing the target to 2.4 million tons this year," he said adding that all the coal produced will be exported to India.
He revealed that currently many coal mines in India have been suspended This will result in an increase in coal demand in India. "In particular our coal suits their demand," he said.
