Publicly listed PT ATPK Resources Tbk. will acquire a nickel mining in Central Sulawesi as part of its efforts to shift its core business from shrimp farming to mining and infrastructure, Bisnis Indonesia reported Wednesday.
ATPK Resource’s president director Wasisto Budiharsoyo said in Jakarta Tuesday the company would allocate Rp 100 billion to finance the acquisition.
The company has five coal mine concessions in Kalimantan and Sumatra.
“The funds for the acquisition plan will come from our own internal source. The business shift program is expected to run fully in September of this year,” he said. (*)
