Indonesia listed coal miner ATPK Resources Tbk is set to produce 1.8 million tons of coal in 2012 - tripled from 2011's output which was only 600,000 tons - from its subsidary PT Mega Alam Sejahtera in Berau, East Kalimantan.

ATPK Resources' President Director Raymond A. Bernardus told Petromindo.com that the company is optimistic with the very big increase of target as development of all required infrastructure at the site has been completed.

Mega Alam Sejahtera produces low rank coal with CV around 5,000 Kcal/kg and all of the coal is exported to India. "So far India is the sole buyer of our coal," Raymond said on Thursday.
