ATPK Resources to produce 1.6 million tons of coal next year

ATPK?s finance director Albert J. Bangun said in Jakarta on Tuesday that MAS was expected to produce 120,000 tons a month next year so that its total production could reach close to 1.5 million tons next year. At present, MAS produces about 65,000 tons a month.
?Meanwhile, SMU will begin production in the third quarter of next year with a production level of between 40,000 and 50,000 tons a month,? he added. From the two subsidiaries, ATPK expects to produce a total of 1.6 million tons next year.
ATPK sells its coal production to local buyers, mainly state owned electricity company PLN. ATPK, through its subsidiary PT Modal Investasi Mineral owns a 70% stake in both PT Sarana Mandiri Utama and PT Mega Alam Sejahtera. (giok)
