ATW expects solar panel sales to increase fivefold next year

Solar panel solutions provider PT ATW Solar, a subsidiary of PT ATW Sejahtera, projects revenue from sales of solar panels next year to increase fivefold from revenue this year as the company has obtained a number of new solar panel installation contracts

President Director of ATW Sejahtera, Paulus Adi Wahono said the company next year will install 500 solar panel units atop houses at the Summarecon Serpong housing complex with total capacity of 500 kilowatt peak. In addition, the company will also install solar panels at the MNG Group building and PT Unilever manufacturing plant.

?Our target for next year is to install solar panel units up to 5 MW peak, a fivefold increase from the current 1 MW peak. ?One manufacturing plant is usually installed with capacity of between 500 kW and 1 MW peak,? he said, adding that around 70 percent of the company?s customers are buildings and manufacturing plants.

?But we expect demand from housing to increase 50 percent (next year),? he added.
