ATW to install solar panels in Kalimantan coal mine

Solar panel solutions provider PT ATW Sejahtera plans to install solar panels at a Kalimantan coal mine operated by PT Indexim Coalindo to supply electricity for the mining operations.
?We?re still discussing the plan, hopefully it could be realized next year,? ATW President Director Paulus Adi Wahono told Petromindo.com recently.
Under the plan, ATW will install solar panels with total capacity of 300-500 kW. Indexim currently relies on diesel-fired power plant (PLTD) for electricity supply. If the solar project is realized, the solar panels will provide electricity during night time, while the PLTD in the day time, Paulus said.
