Aurora Gold?s Indo Muro production drops to 110,43 ounces in H1 2002

Australian gold miner Aurora Gold Limited said on Tuesday its gold ore output from its Central Kalimantan operations had reached 728,881 tonnes in the January-June period of 2002, compared with 846,570 tonnes in the corresponding period of last year.
Gold equivalent ounces produced by the company had declined by 5.8 percent from 106,581 in the first half year of 2001 to 100,431 in this year?s corresponding period, Aurora Gold said.
The company added its cash operating costs had decreased from A$470 per gold equivalent ounce to A$422 per gold equivalent ounce.
Aurora Gold wholly owns PT Indo Muro Kencana which operates Mt. Muro goldmine in Central Kalimantan.
Previously, the company had entered into Heads of Agreement (HoA) to sell its interest in PT Indo Muro Kencana to Archipelago Resources Limited.
Mt. Muro goldmine is scheduled to be closed this year due to reserve depletion. (leo)
