ASX-listed Aus Asia Minerals Limited said it has appointed PT Britmindo, to provide mine management services.
The firm said Wednesday that PT Britmindo is currently providing estimates on the mining operations at Solok iron ore project and will oversee all mining operations.
"There is a 11,000 MT High Grade stockpile at the mine and is targeted to have our maiden barge for Krakatau Steel loaded at Telok Beyer Port, Padang, West Sumatra by late August 2015," Aus Asia said.
The Solok Iron Ore Project (SIOP) is located 75 km away from Padang, West Sumatra. It is in an Iron Ore rich environment. The concession is 73Hectares. Aus Asia Minerals has a 90 percent interest in this project.
SIOP was formerly in production and Aus Asia expect to begin production within the next 3 months with a 60%+ Fe product.
Aus Asia Minerals said it will be implementing a strategy of acquiring other mines through Joint Ventures and purchase of stockpiles to consolidate a large presence in the area. The final product will be trucked and then shipped out of Telok Beyer Port, Padang.
Aus Asia subsidiary PT Mineral Sukses Makmur in February signed an MOU with Krakatau to deliver 300,000 MT of iron ore from the Solok mine to the latter's mill in West Java.
