Aussie firm eyeing Indonesia geothermal project

Australian firm Panax Geothermal reported on Tuesday it is eyeing acquisition or participation in ?advanced commercial geothermal opportunity? in Indonesia.
A study commissioned by the company on geothermal power plant opportunities in Indonesia was completed by US based consultancy group GeothermEx during the first quarter of 2008, it said.
Follow-up work was undertaken in conjunction with Mr William Cumming, a US based geothermal consultant with knowledge of geothermal resources in Indonesia. A number of commercial contacts were made and further follow-up work is scheduled, the company said without disclosing further detail. (alex)
