Austindo appoints new managing director

Australian miner Austindo Resources Corporation NL, which has gold mining operation in Banten province, announced on Monday that Ian Price had been appointed to the position of managing director and chief executive officer, effective 18 November 2002.

Prior to his appointment, Price was executive director of AGD Mining Limited, a Melbourne mining company. He will be based in Melbourne.

Austindo said Price?s appointment was reflecting the recent diversification of its exploration portfolio into Australia.

The company holds 71 percent stake at Cibaliung gold project in Banten, while the remaining 29 percent is owned by International Antam Resources, a subsidiary of state mining firm PT Aneka Tambang Tbk. (robert)
