Austindo hopes to sign PPA soon with PLN

IDX-listed palm oil producer PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Tbk expects to be able to sign a power purchase agreement (PPA) with state-owned electricity company PT. Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN) before the end of this month, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Thursday.
Austindo President Director Suwito Anggoro said that the company will produce electricity from its biomass-based 1.35 MW power plant in Belitung, which is currently under construction process.
He said that the indicative price for the electricity is Rp 975 per Kwh. The plant will produce electricity from biogas resulting from the processing of oil palm waste products. (*)
