Australia's MICA to help promote local mine experts? accreditation

The vocational department of the Association of Indonesian Engineers for mining activities, BKT-PII has agreed to cooperate with the Mineral Industry Consultants Association of Australia (MICA) in promoting the competency and accreditation of local mining experts, Bisnis Indonesia reported on Thursday.

Under the cooperation agreement signed in Jakarta on Wednesday, the well-reputed MICA would also help improve the standardization of the Indonesian mining experts so that their competency and accreditation would be at par with international mining experts.

At present, Indonesian mining experts had not received acceptable positions due to the lack of respect on their competency and accreditation from the world?s mining community. (*)
