Australia?s Northern Territory eyeing Inpex? Masela gas

Brining gas to Northern Australia from the field, which may contain 5 TCF of gas would create an opportunity, the agency quoted Andrew Andrejewskis, and director of petroleum development of Northern Territory as saying on Tuesday.
Inpex has 10.5 percent stake of ConocoPhillip?s Bayu Undan gas venture, whivch is building an LNG plant in Darwin, the capital of Northern Territory.
?We are interested in doing a deal with Inpex to bring the gas onshore,? he said.
Separately, Inpex said Tuesday it was still studying alternatives to develop its massive gas reserves. ? Several alternatives, including LNG plant, gas-to-liquid (GTL) plant, or piping the gas to Australia?s Northern Territory,? are still being studied,? Sadafumi Tanigawa, Inpex?s Director & General Manager Jakarta Office told Petromindo.Com. He added that Inpex would drill three appraisal drillings on the block next year. (*)
