AWE to continue drilling at E. Java basin

Australian firm AWE Limited said on Monday that is planning further drilling activity in its four oil, gas blocks, offshore East Java basin.
?AWE is planning further drilling activity in the area, after a full assessment of the implications of the Liyun-1 well. This drilling is expected during 2011,? the company said in statement.
The company did not give details.
The company has four oil, gas blocks in the area, they are Bulu PSC (42.5% interest), North Madura PSC (50% interest), East Muriah PSC (50% interest) and Terumbu PSC (100% interest).
Last July, AWE reported that the Liyun-1 exploration well in the Bulu PSC is being plugged and abandoned as indicators show no significant hydrocarbons. The Bulu PSC is operated by Pearl Oil (Satria) Ltd with 42.5% stake. (giok)
