The following is an excerpt from Australian Worldwide Exploration Ltd (AWE) on East Java basin project, taken from the quarterly report ended Sept. 30, 2008.
East Java Basin
3D seismic surveys totalling 650 square kilometres were acquired in the Bulu PSC during the quarter. These surveys were designed to follow up the recent drilling campaign in the PSC in the Lisah and Lengo areas.
Subsequent to the end of the quarter, the Indonesian government awarded the East Muriah PSC to AWE (50%) and its joint venturer, Pearl Energy Limited (Operator). The block is an extension of the play proven by the recent Lengo gas discovery in the Bulu PSC and will be the subject of a firm three year exploration program that includes a new 2D seismic survey and at least one exploration well.
