The 3 Babel coal-fired power plant unit 2 in Bangka Belitung Province will require annual coal supply of 394,000 tons.

State-owned electricity company PLN as the owner of the 30 MW power plant will determine the coal supplier, said Sylvia Situmorang, Corporate Secretary of IDX-listed PT Truba Alam Manunggal Engineering Tbk (TRUB), the EPC contractor for the project.

She told Petromindo.com Thursday that about 98 percent of the EPC work has been completed. ?We have set a target for the unit 2 to start commercial operation in the first quarter of next year.?

The first unit, also with a capacity of 30 MW, began commercial operation in the middle of this year.
