Bad weather has again disrupted the activities of PT Pertamina Hulu Energi West Madura Offshore (PHE WMO) in East Java and PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ) in West Java.
"Bad weather has again disrupted the drilling activities. Several weeks ago the rigmove in PHE WMO cannot be operated due to high waves that reached up to six meters,? upstream authority SKK Migas Operational Control Deputy Muliawan told petromindo.com in Jakarta on Saturday.
He said that it happened when they wanted to move the rig to exploration well KE-53-2. During the bad weather, they had to stop transportation of equipment.
But he said that two exploration wells that were disrupted by the bad weather have been now back to operation.
"Exploration well KE-53-2 has been now in operation,? he said.
Apparently, bad weather has also affected the activities of PHE ONWJ in Java sea northern offshore West Java.
"Repairment in wells of Echo, Bravo, KLA in PHE ONWJ was hindered by bad weather in the Java sea,? said Muliawan.
