Bad weather hampers undersea tie-in work at PHE WMO fields

Bad weather condition has hampered diving work to install undersea pipelines at the PHE-54, 39, and 38 within the WMO block in East Java operated by PT Pertamina Hulu Energi (PHE) WMO.
As a result, the pipelines have yet to be connected with the Poleng production pipeline. According to schedule, the tie-in work was supposed to be completed in the first week of July, 2013.
?The status of the tie-in: it?s yet to be completed, still in progress. Currently, the work is being hampered by the (poor) weather and sea condition which could hamper diving work activities under the sea,? explained General Manager of PHE WMO, Bambang Kardono to Petromindo.com Thursday.
?Wind speed in the off shore is 25-30 knots, creating difficulties for the divers,? he added.
PHE WMO expected the pipelines to already have been operational in early July, in order to increase production from the WMO block by 23-25,000 bopd.
