Bakrie & Brothers plans to raise stake in Bumi

IDX-listed firm PT Bakrie & Brothers may raise ownership in its units including Indonesia?s biggest coal miner PT Bumi Resources and property developer PT Bakrieland Development, Kontan reported Saturday.
?Bakrie & Brothers will edge up holdings,? Director Dileep Srivastava said on Friday. The aim is ?to get up to 21 percent of Bumi by next year? and about 30 percent for Bakrieland, he said.
He didn?t say specifically how Bakrie plans to increase its holdings in the companies.
Currently, Bakrie & Brothers has 18.6 percent and 21 percent stake in Bumi Resources and Bakrieland development, respectively. (*)
