Bakrie Power to build mine mouth power plant in East Kalimatan

PT Bakrie Power plans to set up a 2 x 100 megawatt mine mouth power plant in Sangatta, East Kalimantan with a total investment of US$340 million.

Ali Herman, President Director of PT Bakrie Power, said that the construction of mine mouth power plant project would be completed in four years, employing over 2,000 workers during the construction phase.

The Bakrie Power outlined the planned project to the East Kalimantan Governor Faroek Ishak, Deputy Governor Farid Wadjdy and Deputy Regent of Kutai Timur Ardiansyah Sulaeman on Saturday as reported by Media Indonesia.

?The planned mine mouth power plant could supply electricity to Maloy industrial complex to overcome the power supply deficit in East Kalimantan,? Ali said. (*)
