Bakrie to build mine-mouth power plant at KPC

Bakrie Power, an electricity generating unit of IDX-listed conglomerate PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk will build a 200-MW mine-mouth power plant at the mining site of its sister company East Kalimantan giant miner PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC).
CEO Ali Herman Ibrahim was quoted by Kaltim Post daily as saying that the power plant, which will operate under Independent Power Producer (IPP) system, will start operations in 2013.(*)
