State construction company PT Wijaya Karya has completed the development of the Bali diesel fuel-fired 3x18 MW power plant.
The company director Ganda Kusuma said the independent power producer started operating commercially on March 16.
The plant was constructed under a Built Operate Transfer (BOT) scheme over 8 years, which requires Wika to manage and maintain the plant and state power company PLN buys the electricity from Wika over the period. Wika teams up with PT Marlindo Pandu Kencana in the Rp 544 billion project, with the state firm holding an 84.61% stake.(giok)
