Balikpapan govt, Unocal plan new power plant

The Balikpapan administration in East Kalimantan is currently in talks with oil and gas firm Unocal Indonesia Company to construct a new power plant, the local Kaltim Post daily reported Saturday.
The paper said that two power generating units would be set up: one in the location of Unocal?s gas operation, and another near the refinery facility of the state-owned oil and gas firm Pertamina.
The paper said that the project was expected to produce some 400 Megawatts power.(*)
