Balikpapan refinery catches fire

The Balikpapan refinery in East Kalimantan owned by state oil gas company Pertamina stopped operation on Monday this morning following a fire incident.

A source at the refinery told Petromindo.Com the refineries tlatformer unit caught fire at 6:30 AM, but refinery staff could extinguish it at 7.00 AM.

"The reasons behind the fire is being investigated. We hope to resume operation at noon," the source said. (*)
