Stated owned oil and gas firm PT Pertamina expects to fullly operate one crude distilling unit (CDU) at its Balikpapan refinery on April 20, 2007 following a regular maintenance, a company official said.
The refinery has two CDUs with the oil-processing capacity of 200,000 barrels and 60,000 barrels per day respectively. The one with the capacity of 200,000 bpd was shut down for maintenance early this month.
?The CDU unit is likely to resume operation on April 10 but not in full capacity. Right now the maintenance is still going on,? Pertamina's director of processing Suroso Atmomartoyo said on Friday in Jakarta.
The CDU produces such products as light naptha, heavy naptha, kerosene, LGO, HGO, and long residue.
Located in East Kalimantan's oil town of Balikpapan, the refinery has the oil processing capacity of 260,000 barrels a day. (godang)
