Around one thousand workers of state oil and gas firm Pertamina in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, have demanded the government to replace company president director Baihaki Hakim, local daily Kaltim Post reported on Friday.
Through their union leader Djauhari Kunsetyanto they said Baihaki was not up to standard as president director of Pertamina.
They said Pertamina?s president director must be one who had developed his/her career at the company for quite sometime.
?With such qualification he/she can have adequate knowledge about the business climate of Pertamina,? Djauhari said.
Recently, Djauhari and other union leaders met with House of Representatives Chairman Akbar Tandjung and submitted to him their demand. (*)
