Balongan refinery to resume full operation Oct 28

Balongan oil refinery plant in West Java will resume operation at full capacity on Oct 28 after undergoing a regular turnaround since the past two months, state oil and gas firm Pertamina said Friday.

The overhaul work, which began on August 18, will be completed Oct 24, Pertamina president director Ariffi Nawawi told reporters.

Pertamina owns and operates the Balongan refinery, which has a capacity to turn out 100,000-125,000 barrels per day of fuel, or 10 percent of the country’s fuel demand. The company also manages and operates eight state-owned oil refineries. (godang)
