"With the resumption of the operation of the receiving terminal, the crude oil supply to the Balongan refinery has returned to its normal condition," Djoko Dwi Widodo, the general manager of the Balongan refinery plant, said Tuesday. "The cut in the fuel supply from the refinery plant could be avoided," he added.
Loading Floating House, one of crude oil receiving facilities operated by the Balongan refinery plant suffered a leakage on Sunday. The floating crude oil loading facility, which has a capacity of 150,000 dead weight tons (dwt), is expected to resume its full operation on Wednesday (today).
Balongan has four floating crude oil terminals to receive crude oil supply from oil tankers. Djoko said that the leakage on the crude oil receiving facility which has been in operation for almost 20 years occurred in the pipeline which links the facility to the crude pro processing unit. (*)
