Dutch firm BAM International, the operating company of Royal BAM Group, has won a contract for the construction of an offshore mooring structure outside Tanjung Priok, Jakarta.
The value of the contract is 16 million euros. The facility will be handed over to client Golar LNG Energy and affiliates in December 2011.
The mooring will be suitable for the berthing of the Golar-owned and operated Floating, Storage and Regasification Unit (FSRU) which will be moored alongside the FSRU. The FSRU is a modified LNG carrier that receives LNG offshore, which is then transported to shore from the FSRU through pipelines.
The project will be executed by PT BAM Decorient Indonesia, a subsidiary of BAM International. (romel)
