Bangka Belitung invites investors to develop power plant

The Bangka Belitung provincial administration is seeking investors to help develop power plants based on renewable energy sources.

The administration?s Head of Development and Planning Agency (Bappeda) Yan Megawandi said that the province needs more electricity supply to support the development of local tourism industry.

?We?re offering investors to develop (power plants based on) renewable energy sources because they?re environmentally friendly,? he said in a statement published at the administration?s website Monday.
