Bangka Belitung to enjoy extra power supply soon

The Bangka Belitung Province is set to enjoy additional power supply this year from the upcoming operation of new power plants.
Deputy Governor Hidayat Arsani said in a statement Wednesday issued by state power firm PT PLN that the Bangka system is scheduled to receive 2x50 MW from the Air Anyir gas engine power plant.
He added that Belitung system will obtain a combined 41 MW later this year from the operation of the second unit unit 16 MW Suge coal-fired power plant and Suge 25 MW gas engine power plant.
Hidayat said the new power plants will help increase power supply to industries.
