Bangkanai gas power plant progressing well

The Bangkanai gas power project, now under construction by Finish-based company Wartsila and PT Pembangunan Perumahan, is progressing quite well as some of the engines already mobilized to the project?s site, according to senior official of state owned electricity firm PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (PLN)
"The foundation (of the structure) has been 60 percent complete and some of the gas engines have been mobilized to the site," said Nasri Sebayang, a PLN director, told Petromindo recently.
Bangkanai power plant will use 16 Wartsila 34SG engines with total capacity of 155 MW.
Wartsila received contract for the procurement of the gas engines for Bangkanai in October 2013
Bangkanai gas power plant is located at Central Kalimantan province. Gas for the plant will be supplied from the Bangkanai PSC, operated by Salamander Energy.
