Banjar Sari power plant running at 70% capacity due to boiler trouble

Power company PT Bukit Pembangkit Innovative (PT BPI) said that its Banjar Sari mine mouth power plant in East Merapi district, Lahat regency, South Sumatera, is currently running at 70 percent of the total 220 MW capacity due to problem in its boiler.

?We are still striving for reaching the peak capacity. There is a small trouble on the boiler,? said Sri Andini, BPI?s director to Petromindo.com recently. ?We?re still repairing the boiler.?

The 2x110 MW Banjar Sari mine mouth power plant started operation in November of last year. The company has said it is planning to expand the capacity of the plant by 300 MW.
