Banjarbaru mayoralty bans coal trucks

The Banjarbaru administration in South Kalimantan will ban coal trucks from passing the A. Yani street in the city center starting Saturday, the local Banjarmasin Post daily said.

The paper said that the coal trucks must pass through the Soekano-Hatta by pass road outside the city.

Several local coal mining businesses had previously urged the administration to let them pass through the A. Yani street considering that the repair work at the Soekano-Hatta road had yet to be completed.(*)
