Currently in construction, the 2x110MW Banjarsari steam power plant, located in Lahat, South Sumatera is expected to start operation in 2014 and will need up to 1.1 million tons of coal per annum to run, PT Bukit Asam (PT BA) Director of Operation Heri Supriyanto said to Petromindo.com in Jakarta.

He said that all the coal will be supplied by PTBA, and the electricity generated will be sold to state electricity company PLN.
