Banpu releases coal reserves and resources statement 2002

Banpu Public Limited Company (Banpu) has completed a revision of its coal reserves and resources based on an audit conducted by SRK Consulting, an international firm specialized in providing independent technical and scientific services to mining companies, according to Banpu?s press release on Wednesday.

Based on the study and analysis of SRK, Banpu?s coal reserves and resources in Indonesian based as of 31 December 2002 are reported that the total of 166.3 million tonnes can be defined as reserves and 209.2 million tonnes as resources. The details of the reserves and resources in each mine site are summarized below:
