Banpu says it?s not bidding for Berau?s stake
Thai?s energy conglomerate Banpu Plc. said it was not bidding to acquire 60 percent of East Kalimantan based coal mining company PT Berau Coal.
?We are not bidding for the shares of Berau Coal,? Banpu?s CEO Chanin Vongkusolkit told Petromindo.Com on a sideline of a book launching late Wednesday.
Industrial sources earlier said that Banpu is one of the new bidders that are interested in acquiring 60 percent stake of Berau Coal from parent company heavy equipment maker United Tractors. (alex)
