The paper quoted Vice President for Public and Government Affairs at ExxonMobil Indonesia, Erwin Maryoto as saying that the company has been making preparations including technical aspects to meet the higher production target of 200,000 bpd, from current output of 185,000 bpd, for the Banyu Urip field located in Bojonegoro Regency, East Java.
?Hopefully, (the Amdal approval can be accelerated),? he said.
Erwin reiterated that the House of Representatives Commission VII on energy and mining and upstream oil and gas authority SKK Migas have approved the planned higher production target.
The House of Representatives State Budget Committee approved in September a proposal to increase the country?s oil lifting target in 2017 to 815,000 bpd from 780,000 bpd, primarily to be contributed by increasing the oil production from the Banyu Urip field in the Cepu block to 200,000 bpd. (*)
