Bara Energy Lestari signs 3-year mining service

Aceh coal miner PT Bara Energy Lestari (BEL), a coal unit of PT Media Djaya Bersama (MDB) has signed 3-year coal mining service contract until 2014 with Jakarta-based contractor PT Tata Bara Utama (TBU).
Under the deal, TBU agreed to provide stripping and mining activities targeted to produce up to 582,000 tons with stripping ratio of 4:1 with overburden 2.32 million bank cubic meter (BCM).
BEL has started coal production this year with volume of 90,000 tons of low rank coal as of September 2012. BEL mine is located in Nagan Raya regency with an area of 1500 hectares
Media Djaya Bersama is owned by PT Reswara Minergi Hartama, a coal holding unit of Indonesia-listed integrated firm PT ABM Investama Tbk.
